Replacing a flat tire is important to know for any vehicle owner or driver. It can be beneficial for drivers of all ages as nearly all drivers will face this issue at some point.
Make sure that you are in a safe area and turn on the hazard lights and apply the parking brake. Place wheel wedges behind the tires to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Take off the hub cap and loosen the lug nuts but don’t remove them. Put the jack under the vehicle and raise it. Unscrew the lug nuts and remove the flat tire.
Place the spare tire on the lug bolts and hand tighten the lug nuts. Lower the vehicle back to the ground and remove the jack. Fully tighten the lug nuts and replace the hub cap. Remove the wheel wedges from the vehicle and return items to the car.
